Marshmallow plant is considered a healer since ancient times. It was considered an excellent natural remedy for cough, sore throat, cold, and congestion. Marshmallow root was also considered great for a range of GI issues, particularly those related to or cause irritation.

Modern Uses

Marshmallow root is known for its property to soothe mucous membranes. It also has anti-inflammatory properties. Together, these properties make marshmallow root a great natural remedy for many respiratory and GI issues. It’s also typically used for minor wounds and burns and skin issues that cause irritation, inflammation, and/or dryness.

Fun Fact

Marshmallows, the widely popular confectionary item, were first made using the sweet substance extracted from the root of marshmallow tree. Hence, the name marshmallow.

The sweet substance was first discovered by ancient Egyptians in 2000 B.C. The confection that they made from the marshmallow root extract was considered so valuable that it was only reserved for the gods and pharaohs. The confection made by ancient Egyptians was used for various medicinal purposes.

How To Take

Shake bottle well, open and squeeze the dropper bulb once.

Release the recommended serving (as per practitioner instructions ) into at least 2 oz. of water or juice.
