Here’s a little about shadow and light work.  
You can’t just do love and light and ignore the festering dark stuff.  That would be like filling your refrigerator with amazing foods but never cleaning out the leftovers. Pretty soon your fridge will be all gross and the fresh food you put in will be contaminated.  You need to clean it out thoroughly on a regular basis before putting in the good stuff.  
Humans are the same.  We need to go through the hallways of our own darkness.  Get to know who we are, take inventory, clean out the darkest corners and honor the parts of us that we may be embarrassed of.  
Shadow work needs to precede light work to make space for filling ourselves with light. And light work is necessary after shadow work so we fill ourselves with light and don’t leave a vaccuume or space that randomly fills up with whatever blows in.  
I like to use this as a roller bottle blend - over my spine and heart.  
 Marjoram  Clary sage  Frankincense  Lime Melissa 
 Helichrysum.  
Then go do some light work like connecting with your future self or doing some self care rituals or affirmations.
